1. Google is a large search engine that surfs every website in the world for information that you need. Google has also made many other programs and tools, such as Gmail, Blogger, etc.
2. Youtube is a worldwide website for uploading videos for others to watch. It has billions of videos available. Whether you want to watch cartoons, small clips of movies, etc, it will be on Youtube.com
3. MediaFire is a website that allows you to upload a file and be able to access it anywhere in the world, as long as you log in to your accound.
4. Facebook is a website that people use to interact with each other, like MSN. It has many games to play with friends, and many ways to "kill time" when you are bored.
5. Blogger is a way to express what you think so that other people can read it online, which we are learning right now in BTT class! I LOVE BTT!!! Extra marks??

Technology in my Home

Technology affects our lives everyday. For example, we use computers, or watch television to check the news, and even the news requires technology to obtain the "news" that they broadcast. I believe that without technology the world would not be a "village" like it is now. With the use of technology, we have made transportation, communication, etc, possible and much faster. At home, my parents never let me play too much video games. They said that I could play as much as I want after I finish my homework; however, the homework they give me, plus the homework from school is enough to keep me working for many, many hours. Therefore, I rarely have the time to play video games.

Even though teenagers like to play video games, it is bad for our eyes, and that is one of the reasons that I do not use much computer.

Take Your Grade 9 Kids to Work Day

When I went with my dad to URS, (United Research System), I learned many things about the company. We had over 10 presenters from different departments in URS, who taught us what they did in that specific department. At lunch, we had a pizza lunch and after, we had more presentations, some of which were very interesting. At the end of the day, a vice president in URS gave all the grade 9's there a loot bag. The company, throughout the entire day, was very nice to the grade 9's, and altogether, they spent 450 dollars on each grade nine!
I thanked them since I thought that it was a pretty good experience, then I went home for the day.

Computer Skills?

On the computer, I do most of my homework, chat with my friends, but I seldom play games. I know how to use many programs on the internet. I know how to use microsoft word, adobe photoshop (which I learned over the summer), dreamweaver, etc. My typing speed is around 78 wpm.
